Held at Temple University with panelist that included doctors and King Association leaders to discuss the various aspects of postpartum and how it can lead to abuse.
Women of various walks of life attended the workshop. Some had experienced postpartum and some interested in learning more to help others.
Workshop is mostly youth lead. Talks about the pros and cons in teenage dating; how to see the warning signs of abuse; and what to do if you feel like you are in an abusive situation.
Discusses the 6 Nonviolent Principles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and how to apply them into today's society.
How to resolve conflict without being angry or violent. The tools discussed can be applied to any situation.
How to deal with racial issues without resorting to violence or retaliation. Teaches methods that can be used to bring together unity and to fight racial injustices.
